A few days ago I was cruising the digi world and ran into a layout I immediately loved, then as I looked closer, WHAT!!! she used some of MY stuff. Of course now I love it even more .
Here’s a peek:
What a cool idea…to take such and ordinary event and turn it into a fab layout. Someday it will be fun to look back and re-read the layout and remember what her daily life was like and what they ate. Or maybe I’m just slightly obsessed with that at the moment because of …

One of my favorite things about Kroger is finding “Manager’s Specials.” Going shopping there sometimes feels like a treasure hunt and I never know what to I’m going to find. I think markdowns seem gross to most people, but if you shop at a reputable store, markdowns are usually just items that need to be used or frozen right away or sometimes they have been damaged in some way (a smashed box or dented can for example). Some stores just throw the items away when they hit the “sell by date,” but if …

This was a big shopping week for me. Lots of great deals at Kroger on basic stuff I needed. I got a lot of meat and produce markdowns! Woohoo I was thrilled! Especially with the produce ’cause when I left the house all the fresh produce we had left were onions.
Can’t remember where I put my receipt at the moment, but my total was around $97. Counting all the diapers. Before coupons and markdowns it was close to $200 though!! Nice . I’m nearing the end of my monthly budget though, so I’m …

HELLO good deals. That’s what I like on a Monday.
I was SO happy to look at my Kroger ad this morning and then run over there first thing. Even better since I just printed off a bunch of HOT new Huggies coupons. GO PRINT THESE if you have kids in diapers. And give them to someone else if you don’t have kids in diapers. Soooo worth it. They’ll thank you. You should be able to print two coupons per computer. Just use your browser’s back button. (Thanks for the heads up on …

Another low key week at Kroger so I did some shopping at Walmart. Plus I needed garbage bags and napkins and when there aren’t coupon deals, generic brand are usually the best bet. (Oh, and the milk is half gone because I bought it a couple of days ago but wanted to include it in this week’s picture.)
Best deals:
$0.88 turkey and ham lunchmeat (printed a coupon off Facebook a bit ago–no longer available)
turkey bacon $0.50 each (coupons in the mail from Kraft First Taste)
$0.50 bandaids ($1/1 Nexcare coupon)
$0.70 taco shells …

I hate to disappoint anyone but this week was fairly boring for me in the shopping department. But maybe you need to see that I do buy normal stuff and don’t always score amazing couponing deals. And truthfully I was feeling a tad bit burned out on coupons. Part of it is because I live in a little town with only one good high-end grocer, but life has extra busy for us lately too. I’ve been participating in the Little Dreamer Apprentice program (which is going well!), my husband–who teaches college English–had finals …
