Last week I didn’t make a plan and I found myself REALLY dragging in the meal department. We didn’t eat as healthily, I didn’t feel creative, and we didn’t have a lot of variety. So if I’m going to stick to this beans and rice thing (which I am!), I definitely need to plan ahead.

And since I’m obsessed with things looking cute, I made myself a printable to hang on the fridge! YAY. Actually, I uploaded it to Artscow to have it printed as a coil-bound calendar, so it should be here in a few days.

I made this as a weekly plan, and then ordered it from Artscow because I like that you can delete the monthly calendar page and upload your own. I used them a couple of years ago when I gave personalized calendars as a gift to our family members so I could add birthdays and graphics to the calendar page. Anyway, there may be other printing companies that have this option as well, Artscow (don’t you love the name :P ) is just the one I have found so far.

So when I went to upload the design, I deleted the bottom monthly calendar page, and just uploaded my meal plan image there instead. I hope that makes sense…I’ll show you the final product when it comes. Basically I will have 24 weekly meal plan pages with the calendar binding. We’ll see if it helps me stay better organized, and if I like it, I’ll order another one for the other half of the year. Plus, it will look cute hanging on the fridge :) .

Here’s the link if you want to download* and make your own meal plan. Of course you could just print it out at home too, I just like to save my printer ink for printing coupons :) ! Artscow ALWAYS has deals going on too, so you can usually get a good deal. I had a free calendar credit, so I just paid shipping for mine. New customers also get 1200 free prints and 3 8×8 photobooks!

* You are downloading a high-quality JPEG image with no watermark. All images are created by me and are available in my store at The DigiChick. Many of the felties can be found in the February Grab Bag.

As for this week’s meal plan, tenatively thinking:

  • Banana Rice Pudding
  • Sweet and Sour Chicken with Rice
  • Beef-Vegetable Soup, rolls
  • Broccoli and Bean Soup, apple-cinnamon muffins
  • Fajitas, black beans
  • Leftovers
