Stocking Up: Part Two

8 February 2010 55 views One Comment

Kroger’s Mega Event (buy 10 participating products, get $5 off) ended this weekend, and I wanted to get some more stocking up done. Now my freezer is stuffed and the cupboards are full so I will likely just do a couple of fresh produce/milk/egg runs for the rest of the month.

Total before club card and coupons: $130+.

Total after coupons: $41.48. BUT, I bought items that qualify for a $20 Kraft/Nabisco rebate, SO, that brings my total to $21.48! I had hoped to also submit for the $5 Ziploc rebate, but forgot to ask for a dupliate receipt, so I’ll let that one go. But $21 FOR ALL OF THAT!! Wooot!! (I got the rebate in a coupon booklet I got in the mail a while back, and I looked online and couldn’t find it to share with you. Sorry :( .)

Here are the highlights:

  • 4 pkgs Goldfish Crackers: $0.25 each (on sale for $1, used $.75/1 printable coupon) (Thanks, Common Sense with Money!)
  • 10 bottles French’s Mustard: $.19 each (on sale for $1.19, used 10 $0.50/1 coupons doubled)
  • 6 boxes CapriSun: $1.11 each (on sale for $1.61 each, used $1/2 printable coupon)* I don’t usually let my kids on normal days, but  I like to have them on hand for playgroups or picnics or road trips
  • 5 Easy Macs: on sale for $0.50 each*
  • 10 boxes Nabisco crackers: $.70 each (on sale for $1.70, used $2/2 printable and $1/1 coupons)*
  • 5 pkgs Mission tortillas: $0.74 each (on sale for $1.49, used $0.75/1 coupon)
  • 2 Edy’s/Dryers ice cream (we’re loving the Girl Scout cookie flavors!): $1.79 each (on sale for $2.79, used $1/1 coupon)
  • Tyson chicken nuggets: $2.99 (on sale for $3.99, used $1/1 coupon)
  • 2 I Can’t Belive It’s Not Butter sticks: (on sale for $1.06, used $1/1 printable coupon IE here or FF here)
  • Bacon wrapped steaks: $0.68 for two 5 oz. steaks ($3.68, used $3/1 printable coupon) I think I’ll save these for a nice Valentine’s Day dinner.
  • 4 Pull-Ups flushable wipes (good for potty-training kiddos): $0.64 each ($1.64, used $1/1 coupon)
  • 4 Hormel chili: $0.57 each (on sale for $0.84, used $0.55/2 coupon)
  • Beechnut Let’s Grow meal: $0.08 ($1.08, used $1/1 coupon)
  • Solo plastic cups: $0.49 (on sale for $1.49, used $1/1 coupon)

*Kraft/Nabisco rebate was to buy 10 Nabisco crackers, 5 Easy Mac, and 5 CapriSun. I had to get 6 CapriSuns because I had $1/2 coupons. So for 10 boxes of crackers, 5 Easy Macs, and 6 CapriSuns, I paid:  $16.16. I will submit the rebate and get $20 back, so these items were FREE, plus $3.84 overage!!
