It’s birthday time around here! All three of our kids have birthdays within a month of each other, so we decided to have a combined birthday party celebration this year.
I have a little notebook full of ideas for food, games, and decor. . . things are starting to come together. As far as theme, we’re going with COLORFUL CARNIVAL. But hopefully not too cheesy and over the top *crossing fingers* Here’s a sneak peek at the invitation:
Decorations will include strings made out of of game cards, carnival tickets, and bits of felt (surprise, surprise). . .
. . . tissue paper pom poms (that kind of turned out looking like crumpled flowery things). . .
. . .Ruffled crate paper streamers. . .
. . .and other sprinkles of felty fun. . .
As for food, I’m probably overplanning, but keeping in mind the carnival theme (but upping the food a notch) we’re going for:
- Mini Pigs in a Blanket
- BBQ Beef sliders
- Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Chips
- Veggies and dip
- Caramel Apples rolled in chocolate and nuts (take home gift)
- Red Velvet and Cream Cheese Cake Balls dipped in White Chocolate (inspired by)
- Triple Chocolate Cake Balls
- Cotton Candy
- Caramel and White Chocolate Popcorn
- Frozen Lemonade
- Vanilla Italian Cream Soda
We have a friend coming to do balloon animals for all the kids, and another friend (who happens to be a ventriloquist!!) coming to do a little comedy show. And if I get up the energy I may volunteer myself for face painting.
Lots to do . More details coming soon!

Hey pam! it looks WONDERFUL! Enjoy it all!

Well, Ms. Pam. I thought the carnival theme was a great idea. Everyone had a great time. It was a great success and the treats were awesome. Katie really loved the chocolate covered cake balls. YUMMY!
