Welcome to Tell Me a Tale Tuesday!
The purpose of this linkup is to share lessons, activities, art projects, crafts, etc. based on favorite children’s books, poems, rhymes, etc. My hope is that the weekly link-up will create a fun resource of favorite book-related activities for parents, teachers, homeschoolers, librarians, childcare workers, and book-lovers.
The past couple of weeks have been about projects and activities I’ve done with my kids, but this week I wanted to feature Mary from Homegrown Learners who linked up her son’s amazing literature fair project based on The Hobbit.
Mary shared lots of great ideas that culminated the book study–including writing activities, a salt dough map replica, Lego projects, character studies, and even dressing the part.
Who ever said book reports were boring?!
Do you have a book-related idea to share?
The rules of Tell Me a Tale are simple!
- Write a blog post sharing a story-related activity.
- Grab the Tell Me a Tale button and include it or a text link in your blog post so your readers can easily find this resource.
- Link your blog post in the linky each week and visit a few others who have linked as well! It’s a great way to gain ideas, offer encouragement, and discover new blogs.
(If you don’t have a blog, please don’t let that stop you! We’d love to hear your favorite ideas, links to Pinterest pins, etc. in the comments section of each week’s Tell Me a Tale post.)

Thanks for hosting this neat idea! We’re all about books over here, so this is fun!
I didn’t see a “grab this button” for this linky, so I just put a link to your blog in my post. Hope that’s okay.
