The other day I was browsing the internet while nursing the babe and found an exciting-looking cookbook called The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids’ Favorite Meals. I’m all about sneaking healthy stuff into my picky eaters, so of course I was intrigued that there was a cookbook dedicated to this! (Darn, there goes my idea for a book deal. LOL)
I checked out the table of contents online and the foods all looked pretty kid-friendly, so I used some of my FREE Amazon giftcards I’ve earned from using Swagbucks and ordered it! Lovin’ Swagbucks, lovin’ free stuff, and lovin’ sneaking healthy foods into my kiddos!
(Have you joined Swagbucks yet? WHAT are you waiting for? It’s a way to earn FREE money by doing what you most likely already do–searching the internet! Read more here to find out why I love Swagbucks.)
Back to the book, so I ordered it, and it just arrived, and people, I’m SOOOO excited about it! The recipes are for NORMAL kid-friendly foods (mac and cheese, pizza, cupcakes, spaghetti, etc.) and she even has a chocolate chip cookie with pureed BEANS!!!! You know I’ll be trying those! LOL
This week’s menu plan will likely include recipes from this book!

This was really popular last year (or 2 years ago?) when Jerry Seinfeld’s wife basically stole this idea from this lady’s book and made her own (or so the media said). Seinfeld was on Oprah showcasing it.

Yeah, Seinfeld’s book is called Deceptively Delicious. It’s got some pretty good recipes in it, like putting spinach in brownies. I hadn’t heard of this book before but I’m intrigued.

Someone mentioned Deceptively Delicious the other day and that’s what led me to finding The Sneaky Chef. The both looked good, but I ended up purchasing this one. Maybe I’ll have to check out the other one too.
