- white paper or card stock
- crayons/markers/paint
- scissors
- glue
- (optional) colored card stock or patterned paper

Download the Printable Easter Egg craft template and print on white paper or cardstock. We prefer cardstock as it makes the craft sturdier, especially when using markers or paint.
Color or Paint the Easter Egg Craft Template
Color or paint the Easter egg template pieces. My kids love any excuse to get out the paint, but crayons or markers work great too!
Cut the Easter Egg Craft Pieces
Cut around each template piece.
Assemble the Easter Egg Craft Pieces
Assemble the Easter eggs with glue. I intentionally included lots of shapes for kids to decorate to their heart’s content, but they may not need or use them all. Part of this template’s appeal is the ability to customize as they like!
If the kids are using the zig zag or wavy borders, it may be easiest to glue across the egg first, and then trim the excess, as shown below.
Mount Your Easter Egg Craft for Display
When finished, mount your Easter egg on a piece of colored card stock or patterned paper for a fresh and festive and display all season long.

This template also works well as a pattern for creating kid-approved felt board manipulatives. Such a fun way to keep the kiddos creatively and constructively busy!
