Create Your Own Reindeer Craft
Supplies Needed:
- Reindeer Craft Template
- white paper or card stock
- crayons/markers/paint
- scissors
- glue
- (optional) black marker
- (optional) colored card stock or patterned paper
Download and Print the Reindeer Craft Template
Download the reindeer template and print on white paper or cardstock. We prefer cardstock as it makes the craft sturdier, especially when using markers or paint.
Color or Paint the Reindeer Craft Template
Color or paint the reindeer template pieces. My kids love any excuse to get out the paint, but crayons or markers work great too!
Cut the Reindeer Craft Pieces
Cut around each template piece.
Assemble the Reindeer Craft Pieces
Assemble the reindeer with glue. This is a good time to give kids a small lesson on perspective such as: glue the back legs behind the front ones, antlers behind ears, tail behind bum.
Embellish With Marker
If desired, add marker details and embellishments.
Mount Your Reindeer for Display
When finished, mount your reindeer on a piece of colored card stock or patterned paper and display all season long.
Reindeer Flannel Board Fun
This reindeer template also works well as a pattern for creating kid-approved felt board manipulatives. Such a fun way to keep the kiddos creatively and constructively busy!
Lay the pattern on top of felt pieces, cut around each piece, and assemble. Hot glue or fabric craft glue are my typical go-tos when constructing felt pieces.
