You’ve Been Boo’d!

by pameladonnis

Have YOU been boo’d?

“Booing” is one of my favorite Halloween traditions. It’s basically like playing “Secret Santa” at Christmastime. Or if you’ve ever played “doorbell ditch.” Only this is a nice version. πŸ˜‰

If you’ve never done (or received) a “boo” before, it would be a fun tradition to start! (My kids are super excited to make our secret deliveries tonight. . . yet another attempt at “silly mommy!”)

I made you some FREE printables so you canΒ go “booing” yourself!

Here’s what you do:

  1. Print two copies of the Boo’d Poem.
  2. Print two copies of the Boo’d sign (there are two on this 8.5×11 printable).
  3. Prepare a treat for twoΒ neighbors.
  4. Decorate your goodies with printable treat toppers or gift tags, if desired.
  5. Secretly deliver a treat, Boo’d Poem, and Boo’d signΒ to two of your neighbors. . .
  6. Leave on the porch, ring the doorbell, and RUN!Β (And don’t get caught ;))

The hope is that your neighbors (friends, family members, co-workers, etc.)Β will then place the We’ve Been Boo’d sign in a visible place, and repeat the process! It’s fun to see how far it spreads.

PS: Sorry about the redundant question regarding the owl’s origins. After reading all the posts, I see you had previously answered the question. I’m off to Kirklands! LOL!

Thank you for sharing this great idea and your files too. I love Halloween and will enjoy doing something cute for my neighbors. I’ll have to make four though, delivering these to only two of my four favorite neighbors might get me “tricked”! LOL!

About that adorable owl in the photo – did you make her? Do you have instructions you are willing to share? My DDIL loves owls and this would make a fantastic gift. πŸ˜€

    Thanks again!

This is such a fun thing to do for Halloween! I know it as Ding Dong Ditch. LOL I’ve never actually done it before, so maybe I’ll have to give it a try this year. Then maybe someone will leave an ADORABLE stuffed owl like that on MY porch!! ;D Thanks for the goodies!!

She has already mentioned the sign and is wondering who starts it. I think that we might have to jump in this year and begin it with your adorable signs. Thanks for making a fun event even more colorful and fun!
